I cannot lie. 2010 ended up being the toughest year of my life to date.
And because it was tough, diabetes care fell way down on the priority list.
And because I need to bring Diabetes care closer to #1 on the priority list, I committed to blogging once a week at Diabetes Daily.
But it doesn’t stop there. I need all my readers, not just the ones intimately involved with Diabetes, to know that this is hard work maintaining excellent Diabetes care over the years. You have a crappy year like I did and it can really mess up your Diabetes control,
leading to nervous thoughts about complications. And you think, how can I be an advocate for others when I’m such a mess?
First, I must recommit to my Diabetes care regimen, which I’m already in the process of doing. Then, I must recommit to being an advocate, which requires inspiration.
This leads me to the DiabetesSisters Weekend for Women in Raleigh, NC at the end of April. It may mean giving up my BlogHer ticket later in the year, but I find this event so much more important at this point in time, to be surrounded by women who get the ups and downs and all-arounds that Diabetes brings.
