I was having a look at some of the famous people who have T1 diabetes around the world and decided to do a couple of blog posts with what I've found on the internet.


Best known as the lead singer for glam rock band Posion, Bret Michaels was also recently the winning contestant on the NBC programme The Celebrity Apprentice 3 where he raised awareness and money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Hollyrod Foundation and the American Diabetes Association. Bret Michaels Sychak was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes when he was 6 years old and has spent the last 41years combating the challenges of living a high profile life and dealing with his disease. Michaels is a father of two daughters, Raine (10years) and Jorja (5years). This year his family had to deal with another harsh blow when his eldest daughter Raine was also diagnosed with T1 Diabetes. During an emotion episode of The Celebrity Apprentice 3 Michaels was in tears about the new diagnosis. You can check out just how much Bret Michaels does for the cause on his website.
