Are you real? (Diabetes Post)

The question on my mind lately has been, "What the heck is going on with my diabetes?"

Why?

Let's take a few days ago as an example:
Woke up with a BG in range- 94.
Ate breakfast, bolused, went to work.
Lunch time BG- 68. (Strange, I know I underbolused for breakfast and was snacking at work- low carb, but still...)
Ate lunch (low carb, but at least 35 g of carb in there), did not bolus for lunch, set a temporary basal, went back to work, suspended pump for the bus ride home.
Pre-run BG- 84. Is this possible? I swear I ate lunch. Strange.
The only

part of the day that made sense was my pre-dinner BG of 140 (I had a juice box before I went running) and my post-dinner BG of 152. This is pretty much the story of my day before too.

This made me really curious, so I delved into the features of my insulin pump and pulled out the daily totals. For insulin usage, on a non-athletic day, I typically take in between 40 to 45 units of insulin. On my most extreme athletic days, I take in around 25 units of insulin.

Something strange has been going on in the past month. Yes, I'm kind of back to running, but I feel like I've been lazier than ever since at this same time last year, I was training for a full marathon at the end of November. My daily totals have not gone over 36 units a day in an entire month. A few days ago, my daily total was 25.2 units. The day before was 24.75 units.

This sort of stuff makes me wonder what is going on with my body and my Diabetes. Of course, now and then there is an ugly low or high that comes out, but days like yesterday make me wonder about my Diabetes. What the heck is going on?

Sorry, I felt like uttering these confusing, unanswerable questions into the universe.
