I honestly don't think I have EVER actually held to one.
But its kind of tradition, you know?
So, this year, like any other... I made resolutions. But I
did so mindfully. And for the first time asked myself, not
just what my resolutions were going to be... but WHY I was even
making them.
And then I realized.... Resolutions for me are kind
of...
Part I
is here.
Part II is here.
Part III is here.I forgot some stuff I wanted to add to the
birth story, some random stuff. Here it is, in point form,
sorta.
I purposely painted my nails blue, wore a blue housecoat, blue
sweatpants, and blue slippers just because I was having a boy.
I don't know if we're going to have more kids. I'm
leaning...
In the past few
days,I've discovered that my aspiring goals lie more towards the
middle of the hospital food chain, and less towards the end. I've
never doubted that nurses were key to a patient's survival(and
wellbeing),but the fact that there is oftentimes a whole host of
folks below(and taking orders) from the nurse is well, quite scary.
Of course, ultimately the orders are supposed to originate from
the...
A week or so ago
Kelly over at Diabetesaliciousness™
posted about the Bayer A1C Now Self Check test and then Joanne
texted to let me know that said testing kit was on sale at CVS for
$9.99. Woo-Hoo -- that's a $20 savings! I bought 2
boxes! Each box has 2 kits. What a deal.
I held on to the test for about a week and finally opened it
up. There are a lot...
I mentioned earlier this week that I had had some bad hypos,
including a particularly bad night time hypo. I'm not sure if I've
publicly stated before, but as I rent a room in a shared house and
don't actually know any of the other people living
here, I consider myself to live alone - as I do not know I could
rely on the others in an emergency, nor do I know them well enough
to want to place my life in their...
So I have been
teaching myself to cross-stitch...well I should really say
"re-teaching". My mom used to cross-stitch and she taught me
some things when I was little. However, since it has probably
been 25 years since I learned those tips, I have had to re-teach
myself. The lessons are going along swimmingly. I am
using a few books and referencing a few very helpful stitching
websites and I have to...
I love
Christmas. Of course, we celebrate Baby Jesus. But also at
Christmas.... I get stuff. Really cool stuff. Once-a-year-kind of
stuff. I wait for Christmas like a kid. I. Love. Christmas.
I shared one of my favorite things here. (My husband couldn't
have done better.) But I have a few more favorites worth sharing...
in no certain order.
This is another one from Matt. (I'm telling you... he was on his
game.)A CHI Ultra...
I have had
this blog post swirling around in my head since all the craziness
began last week. The title has changed several times. Here are some
of the proposed titles I had going...
"The week from HE!!"
"You wouldn't believe it if I told you..."
"If it isn't one thing, it is another..."
Ok, you get the idea. For those of you who know me, you know that
this last week has been one of the worst weeks EVER. I had...
